Senior Associate, Indigenous Arts Advisor

Ryan Rice, Kanien’kehá:ka of Kahnawake, is a curator, critic and creative consultant based in Toronto and is the Executive Director + Curator, Indigenous Art of Onsite Gallery at OCAD University. Ryan’s institutional and independent curatorial career spans 30 years in community, museums, artist-run centres, public spaces and galleries. Rice focuses his extensive curatorial research, public art consultation, and writing on contemporary art and Onkwehón:we art. 

ART + PUBLIC UnLtd has worked with Ryan on multiple projects over the past several years including pi'tawita'iek: we go up river by Jordan Bennett at OCADU, Indigenous Engagement and Artist Selection process for Mulock Park in the Town of Newmarket, artist selection for the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC), and Indigenous Engagement for the Downsview Lands Public Art Strategy. Ryan is currently engaged for work at Arbo and Downsview West in partnership with Canada Lands Company (CLC).
